CEEAS PUBLICATIONS

The CEEAS Publications are the products meant to fulfill the objectives of the center. They comprise a wide variety of analyses, ranging from short comments an d analyses on the most recent and relevant regional and international events to elaborate analitical ad sintethical documents on issues affecting international and regional politics. The center's publications try to establish firm connections between the media and the academia, by answering both the imperative of timely information and the need for expertise. From Brief Analysis to Working Papers, from Dossiers to Occasional Papers the CEEAS publications try to answer the information and expertise need of International Relations scholars, students, journalists, political leaders, and the mere professional interested in international and regional events.
  • Brief Analysis
Brief Analysis are the most frequent publications of CEEAS. 4 up to 6 of these documents are published every week. Their focus is on the most recent and relevant topics affecting international and regional politics or the behavior of the relevant international and/or regional actors. balancing the requirements of timely analysis and the constraints of academic expertise, the CEEAS strives to offer a rading guide of international and regional politics through its brief analyses.
  • Working Papers
The CEEAS' Working Papers are academic analyses that tackle a wide variety of subjects ranging from the conceptualization of these issues relevant to the geopolitical space the center focuses its expertise on to the explaining and understanding of the dynamics characteristic to the region's security. These publications have a variable frequency since they are products of the research programmes developed by the CEEAS and represent advances made in the research of particular priority topics and phenomena under current andconstant investigation by the center's research programmes, trying to take a broader and deeper look at international and regional issues and striving to meet the requirements of politically relevant, academic research.
  • Occasional Papers
Occasional Papers, published quarterly by the CEEAS are academic articles drafted by the members of the Center or by collaborators and associated researchers from other research institutes or think-tanks interested in the dynamics of Eastern Europe and Asia. They focus on the same topics and issues as the Working Papers as well as other issues beyond these, but they comprise a more thorough theoretical background to the matters at hand, trying to put international events and relevant security issues into a new perspective. Occasional Papers strive to stimulate expertise from different fields of politics, bringing froward an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approach to regional and international politics and security.
  • Dossiers
CEEAS' Dossiers are large synthesis and analytical publications dedicated to experts and International relations scholars and student alike, aimed at providing an informed whole picture of specific topics and/or regions of the contemporary international system. Their purpose is to provide those interested with carefully sorted, relevant information on the most important topics of study the center offers expertize on. Their focus varies from present the history on the subjct at hand, its unfolding over time, looking at the same time at the representative political dynamics and at its perception in academic works. Their release frequency varies, but they are constantly updated.
  • Policy Brief
Policy Brief represent the center's resolve to serve as a link between academia and the political decision-making establishment. CEEAS' experts will analyze the content and possible outcomes of strategic documents and policies, evaluating their impact and formulating public policy recommendations.
